A graduate of Dalhousie University with a background in English, Sociology,
and Music, Beth Norrad’s true education began in the freshly bedded stalls of
England’s most rigorous riding school.

Transitioning from the lecture hall to the saddle, she earned the moniker The Colonial Cowboy. For many years she co-founded and operated a premier riding school alongside Blair Williams, Liz Schroeder, and Barb McDonald mentoring a generation of riders who now lead stables of their own.
Today, Beth brings that same stay-onboard spirit to her writing, blending decades of equestrian expertise with the magic and heart of the horse world.
